There are only 5-10 genuine stage 3 mustangs imported from the u.s in the u.k . Roush are though building stage 3's to order in essex and therefore second hand ones can also be done. We have sent 9 cars to essex for superchargers etc and we have a couple in stock.

the Saleen Mustang comes in 3 guises, n/a with 335bhp, supercharged with 465bhp and the extreme with 550bhp and of course all of them have uprated suspension/brakes interior,they also do a limited edition Parnelli Jones with a 5.0 400bhp engine!

At the end of the day, it's your money and you should buy what suits you. The donor cars to make the Eleanors were probably classics in their own right and I'm not a fan of turning a classic car into a copy of a pretty naff Hollywood film star (Nicholas Cage in a teen movie...). I'm afraid that at the American Car Shows in the UK, these Eleanors could well be the new Knight Rider - kids and spotty teenagers will love them, impressionable adults will love them but to be honest, they're a bit of an odd concept to me. The Eleanorisation of the new Mustang is also a bit of a strange concept because it's an interpretation of a copy of a car that doesn't really exist. So if you're into Batmobiles, General Lees and Knight Rider, it's the car for you. Lots of people love them. Given that a stock Mustang gets far too much attention, prepare to engage the public at large in trivial chat though. 
Don't get me wrong, in isolation it's a reasonably stunning car but imagine a field full of them. Anyway, not for me but then I'm not a fan of old Mustangs which probably makes me the exception. I love that Maybellene one though, oh I could live with that simply because it hasn't got the Eleanor connitation (although I suppose the public are stupid enough to think it had so maybe you can't win...)

but the full Roush bodykit is a bit too "Essex" for my liking. Absolutely no criticism of those who like their cars loud and each to his own but I really don't like bodykits except for the Saleen. For me, the stock Mustang looks great and suitably understated but I think the Saleen is the best looking Mustang and comes fully prepared but the fast ones are expensive.

I love those big Astons too. I understand the classic longing. For me,a 2nd gen Camaro SS on modern underpinnings is my own idea of nirvana and I love those Overhaulin' cars. I suspect that is the reason I love my Mustang - it's new but it looks old but in a modern way. For some cars it works, for the Jaguar S-Type it didn't and that's the same platform. There is a new Mustang on the way, possibly 2008, which will be geared to fend off the new Camaro and that may be better-looking still. Sadly, US Ford dealers will charge whatever they like for the first cars which may delay their transition to the UK. Right, I'm going back to have another look at that Maybelline.
OK, I've done that and to finish up. I don't like the daft power bulges on the Eleanors and I'm a bit disappointed to see them drop the iron-block engine in the Maybellene when an alloy engine would have been lighter and made the car nimbler. Still, picky, picky.

I noticed in your original thread you said something about being treated as a classic if you import it to the UK. The old concessionary lower VAT for classics is well and truly clamped down on I'm afraid and it's 10% import duty across the board except for historically significant vehicles - something along the lines of a Le Mans winning GT40 or something of that ilk might qualify because the old car routine was used, truly abused and consigned pretty much to history by Customs and Excise a few years back.
