So....are these actually on sale yet? I guess these are effectively the "public" version of the Hertz GT-H cars. No doubt there will be silly mark-ups due to the Shelby association, which is a shame. Still, it doesn't look too different from the California Special, just a bit of added poke and different wheels/stripes. Still, I like the grille without the lights, although I think I'd prefer it black rather than what appears to be polished. Oh, and hood pins do nothing for me. There's nothing here that couldn't be done with a few aftermarket parts. Still, a real Shelby is a real Shelby, guess that just depends how far up your priority list that comes. Be good for a few of the magazines to do some articles (there's a nice one of the GT-H in this months Octane)



Here's a pic of some waiting to be shipped to dealers. I would have thought a few would have (or will be) making their way across the pond.

Considering 5 Hertz cars were recently sold for about $60,000 apiece, i'm sure Ford won't miss a trick. Not as evocative though and they've got to be careful they don't overuse the Shelby name.
