hey guys. been reading a few posts here and i'd love a mustang! a bit of a dirty licence and a tie to a BMW stop me at the moment mind but maybe in a year or 2 i can grab a nice V8. although at heart a jap car nut since visting the US last year i caught a thing for mustangs and corvette's oh and the odd hummer

anyway i see a couple of peeps hired a shelby mustang in the US. i go to the US early next year (booking very soon) and would LOVE to hire a mustang for the 2 weeks i'm there. trouble is a lot of the rental places can't say for sure that you'll get one when you arrive as they do it all on a car class type thing. and a shelby for 2 weeks would be next years holiday money hehe.

all i want is a nice V8 mustang without the shelby hire tag. any pointers or suggestions?

I think the Shelby is the only V8 you can hire - it's a promo thing. Other than that, I believe all are V6's. If you check through the hirers, certain companies have a Mustang category which will at least guarantee you a Mustang where others lump it in a general category. Try www.mocgb.net as someone on there has hired a Shelby.

thanks i'll try that i might just see if i can get a mustang and just live with a V6 for 2 weeks. just feels like it aint the same though.
