New GT500 £48,500

Guys,

As you may remember, while looking at getting the Saleen, I was also interested in the GT500 but the prices at the time were very high.
I have now been offered a cancelled order of a brand new GT500 in black with white stripes and fully loaded. It is actually on a ship now and should be here ready to go in 3-4 weeks.

Now, as the deposit has been paid by the original buyer (who has pulled out)the car is being offered for £48,500.
This is not a slot in the build list or a car that is still on a forecourt in the US.

That's not a bad price in the current climate (although it's still a rip off in reality). GT500 are up to £53k on Autotrader at the moment

I'd stick with your Saleen

I understand what your saying regarding US prices and agree to a point but this car is available now I guess.
Someone's disappointment will be someones gain....they have lost their deposit which is why the price is probably the best in the UK....

Yep...what is it about two stripes that can change the appearance of a car.

Have been thinking about striping mine but ended up thinking it will look more original without as most people are having their Mustangs done.

Dunno, stripes and US muscle cars go together like cookies and cream

I reckon yours would look terrific with silver stripes.

I'm of the same school. Sadly, evry time I see a striped Mustang, school's out and I want to go and stripe my car behind the bike sheds.

The Saleen is a much better car. No way can that 500hp overcome that 470lb weight gain. No other tuner uses the Lightning engine to power their cars either. Still, someone will want it as they look fantastic.
