'65-'68 mustang / charger / roadrunner
Discussion
I really want a classic V8 Muscle car but am unsure what to get...
Looks wise the Mustang is the nicest, I like coupe, convertible and fastback so no worries there.
Plymouth RoadRunner is good value for money (ie lots of grunt) but im unsure about the looks...
Dodge Charger would be fab but they have rocketed in price ever since fast and furious came out!!
Does anyone have any other means of comparison like any problems to look out for, or past experience of the cars to help me make the choice??
MCI have a lovely roadrunner for 13k
AutoTrader have a nice selection of mustangs from 10-20k
Chargers are a little harder to come by and your looking at 20k+
How well will the above hold their value??
Thanks, any opinions or suggestions welcome.

Any of the three models you mention would be fine, especially if this is your first Yank car.
The Mustangs are great, are relatively plentiful (compared to the others) and there are more parts available for them than just about any other American classic - so no problems there. There are extremely cheap to insure (mine is £109 a year) and are no trouble to look after - the engines are very big and lazy anf you just feed 'em petrol and enjoy 'em! Which is the same for the other two as well really. Don't know about parts availability but I would think it's fine even if you have to ship from the US. Go to the Mustang Owners Club website www.mocgb.net as there are cars for sale on there - as there are on here too of course.
You need to see some cars in the flesh to get the feel of them ... I almost think the Stangs are small now - first time I saw a '67 coupe I thought it was huge!
I have two Mustangs so you know where my interests lie ... whatever you get, you'll enjoy and unless petrol goes up to £20 a gallon, the prices will stay rock solid ... there is no way I would buy a new car - but I'd spend £20k on the right Stang cos you'd get it back if you had to.
I'd go with whatever
