Nice website. Mmmmm, GT500.....can't wait to see one up close and personal.

Assuming they reach production, will you guys be importing the new Challenger and Camaro?

The GT500 has being produced in a run of 9,000 cars. There are only a few hundred released and available at th moment as demand is huge for them . We paid an arm and a leg for the first one but I have a great customer who wants to be the first customer in the u.k with one. 6 weeks and counting it will be landed here. We will be bringing in the Challenger in 2007. My understanding is they have said they will make it . The camaro is rumoured to be 2009.

Glad to here that !! I just wish they would hurry production up on the challengers i have customers screaming for the car. The anticipation is nearly as bad as for the GT500 .Can't wait for that GT500 to arrive.

9,000 per annum... and they have indicated it will be produced for at least 2-years, if not 3-4

Shame as when it was first touted, Ford intimated that it would be a limited edition car.

At the moment they are fetching MSRP to $15,000 over, what are you pricing yours at?

I don't actually like the look of the GT500 and have never understood the urge to pay through the nose for the "me first" mentality. I'd much rather be last and pay half. It's not like you can't build yourself a better and faster Mustang for that money.

I know a fair few people who are paying MSRP for the GT500 in the US; so, I'd tend to agree with you.

Would love to know where you can get a new shelby GT500 at MSRP. I would buy 5 cars today at MSRP. We are paying $ 20,000 over at the moment as is any one else in the import game. All ford franchised dealers can put the vehicle up for what ever they like and as stateside are going daft for this car they will not come back to MSRP till after christmas I reckon. Any way feel free to drop in and see the Shelby between 8th September and 23rd Sept when new owner picks up his new toy. The second shelby should come in around the 20th.

I really do not understand paying $20k over list for a car like the Shelby, good though it may be, when you can buy a Corvette for less. Far better to spend money buying a supercharged Saleen Extreme which is way more exclusive than a Shelby, for that sort of money. But as the Yanks say, if Shelby stuck his name on a bog-roll, they would all run out to wipe their asses on it.

The old chestnut of paying over MSRP. I have sold plenty of cars at way over, but have never known the buyer to boast about the fact he/she has done so. In fact they almost always tell everyone that they paid list - and I have caught plenty of them doing it. It's the same syndrome that forces people to claim they had a car for 3 years and sold it at a profit!
