We picked up my wife' new toy on Saturday, I drove it home across the Pennines. Much better to drive than the 2016 manual I used to have. The car is a 2020 GT auto with 17k miles on the clock.

Thanks, yes it is a fantastic colour. My wife names her cars, this one is named Tigress. Her previous cars include a BMW i8 named Buzz, a yellow A35 AMG called Miss Sunshine, a blue Mustang Ecoboost called The Blue Prince and a white Camaro RS called Tanith amongst others.

Nice smile

I had a 2016 back when they first arrived on UK shores. Should never have sold it 2 years later.

I virtually got my money back then but it looks like I still would have got my money back even 8 years later biggrin

Has this model got the magnetic suspension and the later auto box?

Just wondered as you said it drives better.

I did test a 2016 auto but much preferred the manual.

Will your wife let you borrow it?

Lucky girl, always helps when wifey is into cars as much as we are,if only so she won't give us a hard time

when we buy yet another toy as she understands where we are coming from,

Lovely to have them work with instead of against us as was the case with my last one,

She doesn't happen to have a single sister by any chance,

Fully agree with your sentiments.

Single sister? Yes, but you definitely do not want to go there, total opposite of my wife.

Pass thank you ,had 2 ex's both of them not interested but the last long term girlfriend was car mad, probably

why she lasted longer than my 2 previous wives put together,

Aggressive driver , took no prisoners on the road or the track,

Had to buy her a track car of her own just to get mine back which made it even more of a shock when she ran off

with the local nursery owner and she's now delivering flowers in a Citroen Berlingo diesel, confused

We have discovered that this car has the hateful thing called adaptive cruise control. Is there any way to use it as non-adaptive instead?

Can't you do it from the "Driver Assist" menu on the info screen?

Why would you want to do that!
Standard cruise control is almost useless in this country.

Yep, I never use the standard cruise if fitted.

Designed for the wide open spaces of the USA.

Constantly having to press + or - all the time! might as well use my foot biggrin

We just make use of the lanes and overtake rather than speed up or slow down.
