Hi,
I’ve paid a deposit on a 2018 Mustang Cabriolet, but spotted some rust around the door hinge area, on the connecting arm ( on both sides) . Not a big deal, but my same age bmw looks like new . Could this indicate any issues, or just poor construction?

The soft top isn’t in great condition, having picked up green algae and mould on the roof. The dealer admits the car hadn’t been used much over winter and promises that the car will be professionally detailed, and the roof will be as good as new . Is this likely, or will the canvas simply return to the current condition after the detail clean has worn off ?

I can't speak for the convertible roof, bhe Mustang is built to a certain price point so you might need to be forgiving over some little issues like the door hinge. Think about how much the Mustang would cost if it were built by BMW...
