Mustang convertible boot space

Going to USA in May. I've hired a convertable Mustang. Mos tof the hire car sites say 2 small suitcases.

Iv'e had a look on youtube to try and see the size, but it's a bit difficult to see.

Any of you kind folks could measure the gap under the hood storage area in the boot please, as the main thing seems to be a low shelf part to try and fit cases under. Or give me any idea of perspective. Many thanks Andy.

Can’t help with exact measurements, as we have sold ours, but from memory, medium / large suitcases would be fine, extra large probably not.

If it helps, a few years ago we hired a convertible for 3 people, all our luggage fitted, probably 2 medium/large plus a soft bag.

Thanks, Mustang GT. I think i must be worried about nothing, It must be american size small suitcases !!!!!

Oh well we will just go and sort it if we need to when we get there.

We hired an S550 convertible mustang for my family of three. We had one extra large, one large and one medium suitcase. All fitted into the car.

However, I had to drop the hood to put one of them on the back seat next to my daughter, the other two fitted nicely in the boot with lots of cubbyhole space to spare.

Currently own a coupe S550 here and I'd end up having to do the same which is much harder as the roof doesn't drop!

Had one in the US last year. The boot took a large suitcase whilst the large holdall had to go in the bag seat.
