Anyone had experience with a new Mustang !
Discussion
Hi guys, first time posting in this section. I have recently put my Ferrari 360 up for sale and replaced it with a mountain bike.
Whilst on a a cycle around this morning i came across the American Car Place near Barnes. I think the Mustang looks really different and quite exciting. But damm its BIG. If i get one it would replace a BMW M3 convertable which i use for everything, driving in London, motorways miles and trackdays.
My question is this, could the new Mustang be a serious alternative to my M3 for all the stuff i currently use it for and has anyone had any problems with the size of the Mustang, especially in London ?
Your help would be appreciated. I think this might be a head over heart decision in the end.

I guess you were at American Carriage Company if you were in Barnes. In answer to your question the M3 and the Mustang Cabrio are very different cars.
If you compare the MRRP in their respective home territories you can see a huge gap. Having said that the Mustang is exceptionally well put together. A league ahead of the old model Mustang. You will also get a lot more attention in the Mustang (whether you want it or not).
I drove the Mustang from Brentwood to Barnes then St Johns Wood and back to Brentwood a couple of weeks back. It was fine. There wasn't anywhere you couldn't take it. You do need a sensible size parking space of course....
My (biased) advise would be get a Mustang with the Roush bits on.
Good luck.

Well it's a lot narrower than a 360 and no bigger than a Jag S Type. I drive a camaro Z28 every day though not in London. I don't have any problem with it to be honest apart from people who want to open their doors into it.
I'm trying to think of someone who has bought a modern Yank and regretted it....er, nope. Just shop round the internet as the prices vary considerably through the various importers.
