Hi at 12200 miles and 3 years old I have the well known rocker cover gasket oil leak. Are there any threads on it on here. Who has had it fixed and at what cost. Just out of warranty unfortunately. Thanks in advance

I went for extended warranty, exactly the same warranty as original, 20 odd quid a month. Must admit not heard of the problem. I quess a quick call to your garage , Then a call to customer service !!

New one on me too, never heard of this before. Good luck getting it fixed.

Are you sure it is the gasket that has failed? It's quite common for the valve cover bolts to get loosened over time.

Also, it looks like a very straightforward job to fix yourself.

It's going in on friday most people are saying it could be the loose bolts, might also need new gasket and the Ford fix requires 5 more bolts on the rocker cover to stop it happening again. Very common fault lots of info on Simply Mustangs UK on facebook and You tube.

Sorted £200 loose rocker cover bolts, happens to most of them apparently. Worth checking before the warranty runs out.

Although I have the Ford extended warranty, it wouldn’t cost me. Did you not try Ford customer services?

No i tried the garage who did the last service under warranty and they said it seemed fine then but it wasn't a major service so the rocker cover bolts would not have been touched

Bit late now but I deal within the motor trade, the manufacturer’s customer services are generally excellent. Especially I would of thought in your case, mileage etc. Oh well, hopefully you will not need any “good will” in the near future.
