Standard Equipment
Discussion
Good Evening All
As a long time lurker I am now in the fortunate position of being able to purchase a mustang as a daily car, not commuter, just , a daily driver as my other car (2014 Lincoln Navigator) is a bit too big for daily duties.
I am getting a bit confused about some of the options vs standard equipment that are available on the various model years.
May I ask for anyone who can help clarifying the points below please
1. Magnaride...........Is it worth it as the car will not be going on the track/drag strip?
2. Active Exhaust.......Is this standard on all model years or just from 2019 onwards?
3. The front parking sensors seem to be a dealer fit option....anyone got these? If so, are they any good?
Thanks all for your help
Rob

Magneride: people who've got it will say it's worth it, people who don't have it will say the car is fine without it. All I can say is my 2019 GT convertible doesn't have it, and the ride/handling is fine even on the crappy B-roads and single-track roads of Kent. One thing to bear in mind is that you can't select magneride settings independently of drive mode as far as I'm aware. As a long time lurker I am now in the fortunate position of being able to purchase a mustang as a daily car, not commuter, just , a daily driver as my other car (2014 Lincoln Navigator) is a bit too big for daily duties.

Active Exhaust: 2018 onwards only. Quiet mode is good for the neighbours, track mode is the only setting to use once you're on the move. It's loud enough, and absolutely zero drone - just more V8 burble. (My old Vette had a Borla Stinger system and the drone was tedious at typical motorway speeds).
Don't have the front sensors so afraid I can't comment.
