Hi all,
My 3 year old gt convertible has been back to the dealer 4 times to cure the wipers on automatic just doing a random wipe. Anyone else? The dealer admit they haven’t a clue now and a ford engineer will be coming out. Replaced sensor, stalk and controller.
Apart from that slight niggle , love it.
Had a new gt convertible for a month this June in CA , hated the new 10 speed box, hopefully when I swap in March there will be an improvement.

Sorry should’ve said in sports mode the gear changes were So aggressive, If it was wet, traction would surely be lost .

I find it's not so much that the shifts are aggressive, more that it goes through all the gears with higher shift points so it just sounds weird - like a highly-tuned, low-capacity motor that's trying too hard - although the way down the box the throttle blips do sound nice. Also, if you use the paddles in S it's a pain when you come to rest and have to flap the paddles when you start moving again - great fun if you're also turning the wheel as the odds of finding the correct paddle aren't good! Much more relaxed in D and if you do use the paddles it'll revert to auto after a while. I used S when I first got the car but switched to D after a few weeks and haven't felt any great desire to go back.

Quite pleased it’s not a ‘jolt’ on yours. I did 3500 miles and the change was so severe kind of put me off replacing mine in March . Ok I could stay in D but I have no problems in S with this one.
Out of interest, what mpg do you see? Over the trip it was over 24
