I've never been in one of these.

What do you think of them? What sort of mpg do you get?

What age ? I have driven many mustangs in the USA, mainly the v6 and comparable performance with the Camaro v6. Had maybe 30 mpg, my gt convertible shows 17 mpg Over 3 k miles. I always find the usa cars a little soft.

Given the choice an S197 with the track pack. But an early S550 if not.

I keep thinking they might make a nice daily. I know there is the UK spec 2.3T. Which I actually like. But would love to know how a V6 compares.

Also prefer the look of the S197 and in some ways the live axle too.

Never owned a V6 but did rent one for a few days in the US. We also had the eco boost a few days later and I own the V8 so feel fairly qualified to judge that it’s bloody awful, slow, not very responsive and such a lacklustre sound, just not right.

Thanks for the info. But slow??? Do the stats lie or are you using some other metric to measure performance by?

Well 5.5 to 60 isn’t particularly quick these days and it feels a lot slower because of the lack of torque, there’s no kick up the arse from it. It’s also got a very low top speed not that it will concern too many people. I was really disappointed and the engine didn’t seem to match the look of the car, I hate myself for it because I’m a big fan of displacement but I slightly preferred the eco boost.
