I thought the folks on the Mustang forum might be interested in the promo for the newly released Ford Mustang race car for the 2019 Australian V8 Supercar series.

The proportions are altered a bit in order to fit the platform they use for the series.

It will be awesome to see a field of them racing the Holdens - Great noise too!!

And its less than four weeks now till the season opener for any fans of the series

Not watched this series for years, thanks for the heads up. The Mustang will be using the Falcon engine though.

Not sure where it's shown in the UK, seems Amazon Prime had the rights in 2017 & 18 but not sure about this year.

This is an odd one I think..... If I'm correct they have altered (quite badly) a Mustang body or Just made a Mustang shape to fit an approved platform?
Its great that there is a V8 race series, but what's the point if it's not a real Mustang?
Yes I'm probably missing the entire point as usual, but I want to see a new age Trans Am race series between the major manufacturers, now that would be something to get excited about.
Then again people do say I'm lost in a rose tinted time warp.

Point = advertising and promotion of the Mustang basically.

Disappointing it's probably not much more than a modified Mustang shell like you say.

Appalling looking thing with a Mustang shell jammed on top of a Falcon chassis. Should just change the requirements for supercars and let the holden guys use a Camaro and Ford use a proper Mustang instead of these Frankenstein cars.
