Anyone gone from an M135i to a Mustang ?

As per the title.
My wife fancies one and I like them, quite fancy a yank of some description and been looking at Corvettes but the mustang is another option as you get a much newer car and right hand drive.
The M135i will be more economical on a run but its pretty bad around town, cant imagine a Mustang is much worse, so not a concern as dont do many miles. Am looking only at manual GT Coupes, is the manual box nice to use ?
I know VED isnt a major part of the cost on these but do some come under the £140 tax and some dont ?
Do you have to run them on SUL ?
The option packs confuse me, is there a handy guide to what they involve ?

Option pack mainly works around two options of either chrome and silver wheels or none and black wheels!
I chose chrome and silver for both of mine.
The manual gearbox is a lot smoother, and clutch much lighter on the facelift model, in fact having owned both there are so many improvements on the later one!

There's a sweet spot for the MY15-17 cars of around 6mths that have the lower VED rate; £140 vs £550. I had one of the first ones in the country so it's been a while, but IIRC we had 3 options; sat-nav with rear parking sensors, heated/cooled seats, upgraded stereo (Shaker sub). Those could all be specced individually whereas the "Custom Pack" comprised of all 3 as well as having silver wheels and chrome trim around the windows.
The heated seats are known to have issues so that may be a consideration for you. All cars come with a reverse camera as standard.
Any unleaded fuel will do unless you have it mapped specifically for 99RON (mine is but will still happily drive on regular, you just don't get the full benefit of the remap on regular).
The V8 will do 31/33MPG at 70mph.
The MY18 cars are whole different ballgame with regards to options but they're also a lot pricier too.
I run my 2016 on 99, though that's not absolutely necessary unless tuned.
I missed the sweet spot of the lower tax pre-facelifts so pay 575 or so.
I have the black wheels/window trim and have the nav, Shaker sub and front sensors (installed by the dealer). The engine warms up very quickly and the climate control is very powerful so don't miss having heated seats (and cooled seats I find really unpleasant).
The manual is very, very good and the big 5.0 makes it possible to hold third and cruise around if feeling lazy without having to downshift. I replaced mine with a Steeda Tri-Ax Race short throw shifter which is a completely different feel than the stock and is probably not for everyone - but the point is that there are so many aftermarket adjustments available for the 6 speed, not to mention the exhaust, intake, etc.
