Bullitt Mustang Sold Out
Discussion
So, I popped into my local Ford Store today to put a deposit down on a Bullitt.
They were unable to take my order, as they had only been allocated 2 and both sold, well actually it was a bit odd as they said they had been sold, but weren't sure If they were selling them?!
I have phoned around various dealers and all their allocations are gone.
I have left my details with about 4 dealers, so may get a cancellation or Ford may increase the run. Either way, they should remove the Bullitt from their UK website and Configurator, as you can’t get one!
If anyone hears of a slot becoming available, do let me know! I won’t hold my breath.

Sorry for the late reply! No date yet. Just confirmed allocation and committed on Ford’s Build Schedule, although no build date yet advised. Could be anytime between now and June 19.
With a cast iron Customer Order behind the allocation it may come forward, I am told.
It will be worth the wait.

Ordered my Bullitt a while back and have been through the same order's there order's gone routine but have now got a build date for early October and delivery projected for late November early December. (Apparently it's all a lot quicker than the MY17 which I waited nearly a year for!)

I took my brothers Mustang to a Ford dealer in Sunderland and then to Ford dealer in Stockton for some simple warranty work.
In hindsight I wish I had taken it to Greggs the baker as I'm sure they would have more knowledge on the Mustang than those two outfits.
Were they Ford Store Dealers? These are the only ones that are really equipped to work on Mustangs. (Technically you can only buy them from a Ford Store too, although some people have ordered from a routine dealer, who in turn has had to go through a Ford Store to process the order.)In hindsight I wish I had taken it to Greggs the baker as I'm sure they would have more knowledge on the Mustang than those two outfits.

I get mine worked on by the local dealer which is a half mile from my home and have had zero issue with there services. It also save me driving over an hour to the Ford store where I first ordered the car.
Just to let all of you on here know who have ordered a Bullitt just like myself & had the spec confirmed by e mail from Ford what they were advertising will now not be the same for UK buyers.
It will be a Bullitt Lite Missing as below,
(Twin Gauge pack in centre of Dash)
(Strut Brace over engine)
Rear ratio is 3.55 instead of 3.73 with Torsen LSD.
I have tried to confirm with Ford & after market tuner but so far know one knows for sure if we get LSD in the UK car or the brand of LSD that may be fitted.
Some people may be ok with all of the above missing but l am not.

Shame about the missing twin gauge dash pack. That would have been a really nice differentiator for the Bullitt. It will be a Bullitt Lite Missing as below,

I think EU cars don’t have to strut brace due to EU pedestrian collision regulations

It is a shame that they can only be bothered to fit a GT dash vent even though they confirmed with me by e mail & advertised it would be fitted now to announce it won't be.I think EU cars don’t have to strut brace due to EU pedestrian collision regulations
Below is an update from Ford about the strut brace.
The Strut Tower Brace is also not standard specification on Mustang Bullitt in Europe. However, it is available as a Ford Performance Parts accessory, as shown on the pricelist.
If it is as you say collision regulations l wonder why Ford are suggesting buying from them at a cost of £400+vat to retro fit? We are paying for all these options that should be on the car to start with as the US Bullitts & then have to pay twice not good enough.

My orders been moved up so it should be delivered in the next two/three weeks as it will be one of the first proper UK spec Bullitts I'll post up some pics
Ford(UK) themselves seem to be constantly changing their minds as to what exactly is in the UK spec compared to the US so it may just be a case of wait and see.

Be really good to see what your Bullitt comes with. How much earlier than expected is it?Ford(UK) themselves seem to be constantly changing their minds as to what exactly is in the UK spec compared to the US so it may just be a case of wait and see.

Have a look on the M6G forums.
There are Bullits being delivered all over the UK and EU already.
As I (think) already mentioned:
- GT 350 CAI and manifold = more power (but still less than the US due to emissions Sw)
- NO strut brace
- NO center gauges
- NO extended leather on the center consoles etc. Interior quality/feel is therefore actually below an MY18+ Custom pack car. Which is nuts.
The rest is std. Bullitt
Had some more info confirmed about Diff in RHD Bullitts they won't be fitted with the quality Torsen diff as the US model just the standard cheap diff from the GT model. There are Bullits being delivered all over the UK and EU already.

More parts that they won't be fitting but will still be CHARGING YOU THE CUSTOMER FOR.
They would sooner upset all their customers in the pursuit of making a few Dollars more on all RHD cars built rather than customer satisfaction (Which they clearly don't understand the meaning of)
Only way to deal with all this rip off is walk away from the order.

Original date was Feb/March next year, so quite a bit earlier than expected.Seeing the discussion on the "missing" bits compared to the US version I'm beginning to wonder if Ford UK have shot themselves in the foot a bit - its not exactly difficult nowadays to find out exactly what US buyers are getting for their $.
