Roush Exhaust removal, ideas on costs?
Discussion
Went to test drive a Mustang yesterday, lovely experience. A 2015 car which had been graced with lowering springs and a Roush exhaust. The stance of the car with the lowering springs was, imo, great but the exhaust? Oh dear.
I'm not against excessive noise, I have a straight piped TVR Chimaera as a weekend car, but I'm looking at this as a daily car and, if I left the Roush on and started it up at 6:30 every morning, I think I'd return home one day to find my neighbours had burned down my house.
Any idea how much it'd cost to buy and have fitted a stock exhaust? I know, I should just phone someone, but I'm lazy and thought I'd try the forums first.

I would imagine that theres plenty of stock s550 exhausts lying about the country,
shouldnt cost a lot as stock take offs have low value usually.
As a side note , I have a Roush on its way and I was initially disappointed that the exhaust had not been upgraded.
Then I remembered what my 07 427r was like to live with!

I'm sure you could source an original exhaust for peanuts, most owners seems to change them. The only faff would be getting it rewelded on as you need to cut the pipes to fit an axle back, which would probably cost more than the exhaust itself!
I'd also consider swapping for a quieter aftermarket axle back. The stock exhaust is shamefully quiet, I bet you'd be disapointed if you heard it.

Thanks guys. I've bought the car with the Roush, will see how it goes before deciding on any change.

You can have my stock exhaust for nothing, but you’d have to pick it up (Surrey). I would bet Mike at Modurstang has a pile of stock ones and would swap it out for you.WillS
Will do my good deed for the day and offer a swap for my stock system
I had ruled out going axle back as did not want to cut the stock system up just in case I swap car with ford in a few years.
But if the stock ones are lying around gathering dust in various places it might be a good option as otherwise im waiting until mid next year sometime before I can go get something like a Borla catback
