2018 facelift model?
Discussion
Thanks for the info.
I'm also in two minds, I love Grabber Blue, but I hear it's unavailable on the facelift model.
I think Orange is an option on the new car.....and I like that also, so head scratching time for me. Its going to be well into next year before I can think of pushing the button on this. The other thing that's missing from the new model is the ribs on the bonnet, I kind of like them.

I had a good look at the PDFs for the 2018 model. I took delivery of on 1st March of a Magnetic Ecoboost Auto with Custom Pack for £35,600. Like many others I imagine it was a no-brainer and like Clarkson said in his Times review I can't work out how Ford did it. Using the PDFs I priced the exact same 2018 spec model at £39,985. The similar spec V8 will be about £42k. I know it's got a 10 speed auto and I know the dollar/sterling rate has moved a bit but I'm wondering (a) if this is a price hike too far to keep sales up and (b) how this impacts second hand 2017 models (beneficially I would think). Interested to hear others take on this.

I’m interested in prefaclift values too. My car cost £38,705 in March and using the links above the 2018 with the same spec would be £45,185. £6480 is quite a difference. I’m still tempted but to me the interior is a weak point of the mustang and that’s mostly unchanged so....The interior of the MY18 UK car is meant to be the higher end leather that didn’t come through on the 15-17s here together with an option for leather trimmed centre console. Remains to be seen how it actually turns out. There are plenty of ways to upgrade/improve/customise the interior if you are happy with the rest of the car.

I’m not interested in spending money on it, it’s not that bad just not as nice as my previous cars, with good reason in fairness. Even with the price hike I think it still represents great value but on balance I’m thinking I’ll just stick with the old one for now.In regards to price increases, the outgoing model was 38k OTR and new model is 41k. Ok currency changes may make a slight difference but even the unspecced car has quite a number of upgrades, i drove current model for the first time a couple of months ago and felt it wasn't quite enough of a premium feel in the cabin, plus it didn't sound dramatic enough (v8 auto) but i have placed an order for a new car. I am downsizing aftet many years of sports car ownership. Previous car 911 gts £100k and currently have mclaren 540c £138k which i bought new in august. When you have looked at the option prices at that level, believe me the mustang with the magnaride and custom pack is still a total bargain.
These are all second cars in the garage, and the bottom line is they have to feel special every time you take them out, the top end stuff is now at a point where the differences are minimal between them and the prices are borderline taking the pi**. At low 40k the mustang is the only stand out thats not like anything else, its not trying to be a porsche or an bmw Mcar, and that to me is a big part of the appeal.

My dealer is talking loosely about £8k to swap my Jan 17 V8 GT Convertible for a new model of the same spec, with room for a bit of a haggle.
It's only done 1200 miles so I don't feel it's the best deal, but when there's a 2018 model in the showroom I'll go and see one in the flesh and see where we end up.
