Driving in Europe
Discussion
Hi all, I'm about to leave for a trip into Europe (France to Germany) and had my vehicle booked in to have headlight deflectors fitted. My dealership has just advised that stickers do not work on Mustang headlights and that they have to be re-aligned properly. This is an expensive job that my dealership does not do. This leaves me with 2 options - go to Halfords and just fit the stickers even though they may not work or just leave them off. Does anybody have advice on the subject?
Hi there, as a English, French resident down in the south here, i would suggest you just use the dip setting (on the light control panel) and lower the beam height a bit when driving over here. The headlight beams are fairly flat and don't extend to high at the side anyway, so you should be fine.
You will however get quite cheesed off with the other drivers that cannot be bothered to drop from high beam to low beam on the auto routes, either behind you or coming towards you in the opposite lane.

Well, trip is coming to an end and can report that the mustang performed well on the autobahn and easily reached 145mph and there was plenty left on the loud pedal for improvement. What a car for eating up the mile after mile at high seed and not too bad on fuel. Averaged 26 mph over 800 miles
