I'm seeing quite a few for sale in the classifieds on AT, PH and eBay and most at the price their owners probably paid for them a year earlier, if not higher but are they selling??

Just interested as an unfortunate work situation might mean selling my 2016 GT. Really don't want to but...... frown

Also how easy is it to sell a private car around the £30k mark without either the buyer or the seller thinking it's too risky and preferring to deal with trade despite the cost and losses?

I've no idea about how easy they are to sell but could you try a sale or return with a dealer rather than selling it yourself, I've never done this but guys at work have and have been happy with it.

Personally I would have no problem spending that amount of money on a private sale. Everyone is different but as long as I can arrange to have mechanics look at it, do the relevant HPI check and the seller doesn't seem 'dodgy'' then for me it's not an issue.
I have bought and sold a few cars around that price and looked a many more. I have had people get annoyed at me wanting an RAC check or even to arrange a test drive which always struck me as odd.

I was in the market for a Mustang but as you said a lot of the prices are very high, probably due to the long waiting list for a new one from Ford. Having heard the new 2018 is on its way, I have decided to wait for one of those. Perhaps other are feeling the same.
