I guess your disappointed haha. Pretty crap review. Will stick with the original Chirs Harris review. That video was the reason I ordered

Slaggs off the wheel on the LHD, then says "owning a Mustang should be tough" then he goes back to the LHD
And talks about Car Clubs, so really he was saying a Mustang should be a LHD and you should join the MOCOGB

Yes, and the crap review is why - that bloke is awful! I haven't seen a thing he's done that has been decent - either before or after he joined Top Gear! I was hoping they'd give it to Matt LeBlanc, or Chris Harris (but he's done it already) or Sabine. Instead the talking cock gets it!

He and Evans need to go IMO.

Agreed, not the best review of the new Mustang, but I agreed with his opinion regarding having the 67 instead of the new one. A classic Mustang isnt as bad to drive as he made out, and nothing compares to the occasion of driving one! The new one leaves me a little cold unfortunately.

Its not a classic Mustang, the white one was a True Classic,
My S197 was Retro Muscle car
The S550 is Tech City Sports car

2 very different beasts
I had my S197 for 4 years and it was a buzz to drive
but this is just off the Planet
from the moment you get in, press the start button as the seat moves you into position, oh man you are in for fun, Steph calls it Thunderbird 1 now
I love it, love driving her, the hood indicators, and am surprised how much attention she is getting, from people at lights asking me about her and a lot seem to know about the Mustang thanks to that advert
For me, have no regrets was not 100% sure before i bought her, but now am over the moon with her

He even slags it off in front of Harris on Extra Gear.

Says it's not a real Mustang.

But in a way its not, he said it was a dumped down version also
I think a lot of people think of the Mustang as the car from bullitt the S197 was fairy retro, then with the 2010 they changed the lights and the grill and started to move towards the S550 look.
Many people who liked the 05 to 09 were not fans of the 10 to 14 including me
The S550 is not a Muscle car, look how low it is compared to an S197, its a Sports car
So in a way i can understand where he is coming from, and I worship my car now, but its a world apart from the retro S197, maybe thats why i love the retro bits on the S550

I see that but it's like saying that the current Mondeo/Fusion is not a real Mondeo as it's nothing like that awful thing that came from the Sierra's womb.

The mid to late 70s Mustang II was certainly not like what came before but it was still a Mustang.

Can't fault the car just because it is 21st century.

I was getting petrol for my S550 and pulled up next to an immaculate '72 Mach One. The owner was berating it for it's terrible handling and being unreliable and that he so wished he had my car.

His wife then shouted, after we had been chatting for 20 mins, would you two please get on and swap biggrin

Yes, but he seemed to impress Sabine when he was telling her about the track apps in the Mustang (Extra Gear). I bet she learnt something there, she did go "wow". But then she did return the favour by taking the handbrake off for him.

Who is he anyway?
