Sleeve s550 back boxes??
Discussion
I have a good few months to wait for my GT delivery and am looking at options to make it a little louder.I very cheaply (£20.00 approx) tapped stainless sleeves into my old Tvr Tuscan and it made a huge difference to the noise for a mere pittance. Not being very mechanically knowledgeable would this be feasible on the s550 and has anybody done it?,Obviously a new exhaust system would be best especially for a £38k car....but I would love to save the considerable cost of a replacement system.
It does compute only "IF" it delivers the sound I want and for loose change as opposed to £700 ish for axleback. Why spend more "if" it works for me.
£700 = 300 pints
£700 = 3000 miles of fuel
£700 = 18 mths car ins
£700 = entry level Les Paul
£700 = reasonable 48 inch tv
£700 = weekend in Venice for two(well almost...)

Skimping on the Les Paul as well! But not on the engine, so fair play.
Yes you have a point about the Les Paul, won't get much for that.I am using the Epiphone Ultra 11 at present for the acoustic nano pickup plus it has an easier neck for wimps like me...Back to the exhaust, having just watched a number of youtube videos showing the options I may be swayed by the H pipes after all.twold said:

I think the H-pipe is a good one. Haven't seen a stainless H-pipe available on its own yet. Don't want to put an aluminised steel section in the middle of a stainless exhaust really.slowhand99 said:
