Otr price increase !!
Discussion
Well having placed order last summer the stang is now 2 weeks away
So I email dealer how much I owe you ? And he replies £38365 less my deposit.
I wasn't expecting that ! I thought about 35k
It's the 5 ltr with met paint and all options just not the pack as I wanted black wheels.
£32995 plus £1585 options and whatever guard paint came to
So looks like I've been hit for the price increase.
That happen to anyone else ? Thought I'd see what the general consensus was
Haven't got back to dealer yet

Ford tried this on with me - even saying as I moved house it was a new contract. The dealer I bought through sorted this out before I even raised it as an issue and I paid the price applicable when deposit was paid. I forget the names of the systems involved but your dealer will be able to change the price for correct one.
can anyone confirm what was the original otr price.
i thought it was £32995 for the 5 ltr. any additional items added to that ?
this is what the dealer has now come back with :
Car £34,495
Paint £595
Nav £795
Sensors £295
Seats £495
Total £36,675
going the right direction but i dont know why the car is as £34,495 ? any thoughts?
What has everyone else paid who ordered last summer ?
cheers

its pretty disgusting that they would try to screw you over like that, I suppose some folks might not question it and just pay it. Craig J said:

The £34,495 is the price as of January this year so if ordered before then should be at the old May 1st price.

I doubt it's deliberate, I suspect that they're just not really used to selling cars that take so long to get delivered that there are three price increases (in my case) between order and collection... My dealer always made a point of saying that we'd only pay the original price in fact.david_b said:

Not so! I orderedd mine in April '15, I didn't see any paperwork for it in terms of a formal order until earlier this year!
But you must had a receipt for your deposit and a total price? and a list of the specs of the car you have ordered? When I was looking to buy a UK car, and I went into Ford in Dagenham, I got printed off all the specs how much it would all cost, how much finance would cost, and that was without an order. Mind you Mark was a 100% Gold, and I would have been happy to deal with him. It seems so crazy to me, if I had put a deposit down on a car, I would have wanted everything in writing
The One I ordered from the factory, from the dealer in Essex, on the electronic order form was all the specs even down to the little ones, price and everything
All i had was the deposit receipt, on the basis 'a mustang, ill have it with extra fries'. knew there was no discount to be had so didnt think to specify the price.
In any event, ive had feedback and the price has come down a bit. The dealer has now confirmed the first price was incorrect as they went off the latest figures, and has also explained that on 27/05/2015 there was a general price increase from £32,995 to £33,995 for the 5 ltr. So as my deposit was received in August the £33,995 figure would apply.
I assume thats the price those that ordered post May 15 have paid ? if not can you let me know.
Cheers Guys
