A bit Of A Quandary - Not As Described
Discussion
Last month I placed an order for a Mustang - nearly exactly what I wanted but they've dropped Guard Green, so I went for Magnetic instead. The 12 month lead time was OK as I didn't plan to change my car until the end of the year anyway. But then just over two weeks ago I had a nasty accident and wrote off my current car, so I needed to sort out a replacement.
Ten days ago up popped a Guard Green auto with saddle leather, a premium pack and 1,500 miles for £34,995 (£110 above list price) on Autotrader, exactly what I would have specified if Guard was available. I'm content that the price was fair so I'm not asking for any comment on that. I called Trust Ford here in Bristol who were quite amicable about cancelling my order and they are refunding the deposit.
I went to Bedfordshire last Thursday, saw, drove and bought the green car and have been bloody pleased with it. Within 1/2 hour of getting home I was called back to hospital due to an xray result from the day before and was there until Sunday afternoon, so I've only seen the car for two days since driving home.
I've not been able to fathom out how the heated/cooled seats work and I've realised that the doesn't have them, so its not got the premium pack the advert said, but it does have parking sensors and satnav. So I thought I'd paid £110 over list for a car with a premium pack but I've paid £815 over list for what I've got. The car was sold by a dealer in high end cars who took off a friend of a friend who had a change circumstances and could not afford it and to be honest I think it was a genuine mistake saying it had a premium pack.
Part of me says it's not a big deal and just enjoy it but on the other hand the car was not as described and I should do something about it. I will call the seller up before the of the week but I wondered what you would do.

Either someone was imaginative with the advert or ignorant. All UK Mustangs are technically the equivalent of US premium pack. What you are missing is the Custom Pack which includes all three (count 'em) options plus a bit of chrome round the windows and nickel rather than black wheels. Assuming you like the black wheels and no chrome (which is a good look with Guard) you may not have liked the nickel lustre wheels and chrome window surround. Sounds like a decent deal to me; a great look, and you are only missing the heated seats.Ten days ago up popped a Guard Green auto with saddle leather, a premium pack and 1,500 miles for £34,995 (£110 above list price) on Autotrader, exactly what I would have specified if Guard was available. Unless it specifically mentioned the custom pack OR having heated seats there's not a lot you can do.
As has been mentioned, all euro cars have the "premium pack" (slightly changed from the US premium pack, but still referred to as such).
Take comfort in the fact when you come to sell it will be worth slightly more as it's a discontinued colour.

I didn't spec heated seats but mine as are all UK and EU are premium pack.
Base is cloth seats, tiny screen surrounded by a sea of boring grey buttons plus smaller wheels and brakes.
Even in Jan I didn't miss the heated seats. The big V8 warms the car in minutes.
Even 800 quid is worth beating the wait and now you have the summer to enjoy it.

Actually as yours is an auto you've got it cheap. Full list for min was around 34k yet mine is free colour, sat nav and sensors.
Yours has a colour I think 300 or 500 and auto 1500.
Plus I got mine at original list price . It is now 2000 more.
You've made a hell of a saving. Enjoy.
