The recent trend for limited availability and long waiting lists is a major annoyance of mine.
In the market for a new semi-sensible car and the V8 Mustang looks great.
Before I go and take a look, does anyone know what the current waiting list is like for the V8?

Thanks

FWIW I placed an order for a GT nearly two weeks ago and the order form has an estimated delivery date of the 7th September. I have say I suspect that is optimistic. I will be checking this thread!!

Long, unless they sort out production probably 8months plus and that is if you are lucky. Couple that with lack of information and missed delivery promises doesn't add up to a great buying experience. I think the car is worth it but either look at one that is already in country or set yourself a very low expectation on delivery.

Ordered mine on the 4th of Dec and got it 1st March wink

Was very lucky to get a cancelled order built Comp Orange in the exact spec I wanted.

There are a handful of red cars with the custom pack and black cars with black wheels available for immediate delivery.

I was on for one .. spoke to dealer early 2015 after UK pricing announcement but ultimately couldn't decide on colour / spec unseen .. so told him I would wait to check out some of the early arrivals in person .. take a demo out etc. .. which he understood .. long story short dealer has done nothing to keep me informed .. at all .. they have only very recently got a demo car .. like way over a year after UK pricing announcement .. offered to get me booked in for a test drive .. and then added that it's still 10 months wait if I want one !! .. I'm having a new toy for the summer .. so it isn't going to be a Mustang !! ..

Mine was just shy of 12 months from ordering to delivery but you still waiting is pretty unbelievable.

Have Ford given you any idea what the hold up is?

Car is just built now and on the docks - I feel they have prioritised other cars before mine (convertibles)

Boats seems to be every month so hopefully you don't have long to wait. Mines a coupe so no idea how they are prioritizing them but I'm 14 months and counting so far.

Neck and neck just about. 24/01/2015 - not shipped yet but getting close I think. EDD end of April I think which'll be 15 months. Think I have the worst lead time which started after the order books officially opened in Jan 2015.

But hey, look on the bright side - the weather's crap and there's stuff to iron out on the car anyway.

What colour / options?

Most of the 'cancelled' orders appear to be Red with a custom pack or Black without a custom pack, or ecoboost models.
