Mustang Performance Day at Silverstone - UCL Winner attendan
Discussion
Hi,
I wanted to let you know, if you hadn't noticed from the Ford UK Twitter feed, that the media drove the Mustang at a Performance Day held at Silverstone on Thursday.
Thanks to Andy I was invited along, as we have been corresponding about the ongoing delays to my UCL GT. I still find it difficult to believe I am dealing with man at the top over this, which contrasts so markedly with the VW engine fiasco which my Wife's car is affected by. Andy now sets the benchmark for all car manufacturers in my opinion.
Everyone there made me feel incredibly welcome and were prepared to listen to me air my views, reflecting a lot of what everyone is posting. Hopefully you will all get a chance to speak to the team at future Mustang / Ford events, to hear how passionate they are about the car.
I will get round to putting together a diary of the day and my impressions as soon as I can. I did out of courtesy talk to Ford before posting. Warning though, don't expect a report of the quality of Gibbo's it will be very much how I enjoyed bonding with the car and how visceral (heart not intellect) the experience was. The laps with their own 'Stig' Marino was really something; imagine the Chris Harris video on crack!
So for now look out for the articles and videos that should be appearing from the Silverstone event.
In summary - It is a hell of a car, unlike anything else for the price, and the Ford team really do care what we, current and future owners, think.
