I've seen some comments that stripes look great on Mustangs but not the Ford ones. So..

Who would you go to for your stripes, and why?

They fade out as the approach the front grill. You can see them here;

And they're expensive at £500, I'm told you could have them done aftermarket for a lot less, with more choice of colour etc, though I've not researched this myself.

I'm tempted though, do would be interested to hear where people go to get this done too!

I would have liked stripes but I found out that it would load your insurance.

A chap on another forum has had his premium raised by £200!!!! just for adding stripes.

I was paying £450 for a heavily modified ( supercharged) Mustang with stripes.
I find it hard to believe it would have been £250 without.
Yeah but you can see the stripes, you can't see the supercharger wink

st
wink I have the luxury of a double garage these days thankfully!

You still got the 'vette? What do you think of the S550? Mine's due April (after irritating dealer cockups delayed the order)

Ah yes, that's because they were 'go faster' stripes driving

The stripe set on my C6 'Vette was around £850, good job I did not pay for it. No increase in insurance either. I like the Ford ones for the S550, thinking of either Competition Orange coupe with black stripes or the Deep Impact Blue with silver stripes. Got 3 months to decide...

It's crazy ain't it?.... I wonder if it'd make any difference if they were factory stripes.

Insurance man....... Is your car modified?
Customer..... No, it's as it left the factory...smile

I put stripes in my 2015 GT before I read all this stuff about insurance so I emailed my broker and asked if this is true. They rang the insurance company and said that I had already done it and they said, dont worry we will add and cover them FOC....phew!!

Go for the Ford ones and the car is 'as delivered by Ford'.

Had the roof, sills and front splitter wrapped black on an Evora , to look same as the later cars. Insurance went up £60 for or "vinyls / stickers"

Does anyone have some decent photos of the Mustang coupe in DIB with factory stripes ? Can't find any online
