I'm not keen on the clear white looking rear lights on the Euro version of the Mustang and I expect we will get the same in the UK.
They look ok with some colours (white/black) but not I suspect the Guard Grey/Green I have ordered.
Has anybody seen a conversion yet, some way to get back to red? I heard one of the companies importing US spec cars sold a tail light unit which was UK legal and red but have no more details.
I guess you can tint/smoke them black but I feel 6 vertical red bars are iconic.

The triple red rear lights are all part of the Mustang look harking back to the beginning. I spoke to Andy Barrett's, head of Ford UK, right hand man who told me that it wasn't a homologation problem but the designers had actually decided that the European Mustangs should look different from the US ones.

What on Earth were they smoking?

No expect about it; we are DEFINITELY getting clear lights.

I emailed these guys for some details of their product a while back and got zero response. rolleyes

I'll give them at try, though it looks like an expensive solution

No idea about price 'cos as I mentioned, they didn't reply.

Any proper solution is going to be expensive. Even if you manage to find a cheap pair of US lights, the connections are different so that would need sorting along with the sequencing.

I'm gonna live with them until more aftermarket solutions turn up, which I am sure they will.

I had the same concern, I have never liked clear lights at the back. However, I have ordered Guard Grey and I think the clear lights look better. I have the chrome window surrounds, silver (Nickel) alloys so with the clear lights there is a nice contrast on the car. Here are the two finishes:

I personally don't like the white lights, first chance to switch them out I will, they look cheap and take away a bit of heritage IMO

Those clear rear lights look bloody awful, why the hell should you pay all that money for a new car then have to pay again to put the correct red lights back in? Whoever came up with that idea is a complete and utter clueless idiot!

I don't hate the Euro lights but mine's going to get the US lights back as the sequential indicators look way cooler. Don't really care if they're legal or not. I'll see what's available for the front tri bars too.

Well i hope some aftermarket people are looking into this, there would seem to be plenty of oppertunity to make some money. Not just in the UK but all of Europe.

Don't get too het up boys the clear lights don't look that bad, and one day soon you will be able to buy the red ones.
