What are you replacing with your new Mustang
Discussion
A nice sensible 2011 2ltr diesel Giulietta. Four doors, 46mpg real-world economy for 60m daily commute, nippy enough to have some fun in Dynamic setting, great-looking in white with the 18" horseshoe alloys.
I have zero reason to be rid of this excellent family car.
But it's a Mustang...

We're getting rid of the wife's Evoque, was planning to sell in in November when it still had a 12 months warranty left on it, so with the (probable) delays in delivery, looks like we'll need a short term lease car to keep her going or I buy a snotter and sell it once the Mustang arrives.
Mines going to be an addition rather than a replacement. I have a 520d Auto as a daily driver and a couple of 90s 'classics' at the moment. I've had a few Maseratis in the past, 3200 GT, 4200 GT and Quattroporte and was looking to buy a Gran Sport Coupe or possibly a Gran Turismo, the other contender was an XKR 5.0. However the last Maseratis I've owned cost me approx £4k a year in servicing/maintenance and there is always the threat of an even bigger bill. My colleague has an XKR which while not quite as ruinous as the Maseratis will have cost him over £4k in two years in repairs etc.
Therefore the chance of owning a full size GT with a proper engine, plenty of luggage space and a 3 year warranty was too hard to resist. That it looks great and carries a lot of heritage is a bonus, I also think depreciation will be reasonable going off the values of previous gen Mustangs which while around in limited numbers have a very limited market.
