lnsuring a Mustang
Discussion
Very tempted to get a late model Mustang GT as my only car but a big no no from the recommended insurance co.
I'm 51 but London, no garage and last performance RWD was a Porsche back in 2005. Current car owned for 16 years is a Beemer e36 2.5.
Seems I need to own the car in some capacity for a year until insurance companies will be happy to cover as a daily.
Currently they are happy for me to have it as a second car parked outside my dads over 100 miles away.

They have come back with a quote. 348 pounds fully comp. Pretty cheap compared to my London loading for my current motorbike and car.
Just seems crazy as it will spend weeks sitting in a parking space 3 hours drive away.
I might have to move out of London eventually

That was with A-Plan who used to cover my Beemer but I have since got a quote from Adrian Flux. £1300 for here in London, parked on private ground and business use, basically the same cover as my current car. Compared to £400 for my 175bhp BMW, that isn't a surprising price hike.
I used to pay £700 for my Boxster back in 2005.
Was quite liking the idea of the new purchase being a secret pleasure tho'
