Importing my 2006 convertable mustang LHD from USA to NZ

Hi guys, I'm to this site and need some info on importing my ride back home to NZ. I currently live in California and will be moving back to CHCH, NZ in March 2013. I want to bring my 2006 mustang back with me but I am not sure if I can get it registered there as it's not 20 years old and is not a limited edition model. I have read all the forms that NZTA provide, but I am still a little confused. Can anyone help?
