G'day guys,

I've been offered a stang thats in the UK near to me which has no taxes paid & nothing done for IVA.

Asking cost is 19k - It is a Sterling Grey 2011 Mustang GT. It has a 5.0L and a 6-speed.

Now I know there are alot of helpful pages, but could I ask for a rough estimate of additional costings please.

PS not hands on myself but have access to a mechanic, but do like to get things done properly

Many thanks in advance!

10% import duty, then 20% VAT on the total. About £1000 for IVA mods & test, then VED at £220 & £55 first reg fee. Total on the road cost around £26355.

Thus making it about the right money?....would you agree 15k on clock...small amount of Engine mods as he says...'Boss 302 intake manifold, JLT cold air intake, and a tune. I have the SCT tuner with 3 different tunes on it. I also have a Flowmaster Hushpower axe-back exhaust.'

Thanks for info guys

The Boss intake is a $700 upgrade (without the associated hardware and installation) - so if it's been installed properly, is well worth having. (If it's been bodged, you could have some serious feuling issues and lots and lots of fault codes). The tuner is another $350. The exhaust, being just rear mufflers and tailpipes, is of marginal value.
