G'day guys,

Need a little advice please...i'm looking to buy me a mustang...something modifed looks wise, have seen one on e-bay, but i think its over priced & just need second opinions (i know what they say 'A cars worth is what someone willing to pay' but for an 2006, 41k i'm thinking after I have it i'm gonna take a big hit...its been removed because of the silly e-bayers, but i'm in talks with the owner...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2006-FORD-GREY-mustang-/...

these are the rough replies i've had to some of my questions:-

No expert but isn't that a little steep for a 6 year old car plus the spelling and grammar of the ad would make me worry about how much care and attention was taken with the addition of the modifications.

All that waffle about being able to take on Fire Blades and R1s makes me think it was owned by my 9 year old son. biggrin

Good luck in your search.

Stock BHP for that car is 300. Air filter and remap will add no more than 20 BHP.

That car is, at most, £17,000.

ETA: Full 500 bodykit? He doesn't know what he's talking about. That kit is an ACI (American Car Imports) "Outlaw" kit. Specifically designed for them and no longer available if you damage any of it.

For that money, I'd be looking for a decent Roush with half the mileage (and an owner who can speak English).

A remapped S197 Mustang that loses Fireblades & R1s. Honestly I have never heard such utter tripe. As an owner of a similar Mustang my take is that they are a fun car but not particularly fast and too bulky to race anything unless you have a genuine death wish.

Mind you the other day I drove by an R1 that was parked and I went past that so maybe that's where the seller is coming from.

I have thought about selling mine and would be looking for about £13k. I can't see that one being worth more than £15k.

Hi, Personally I would prefer to buy an unmoddified car. But that's because I've currently got an unmodified GT CS which I recently tried to sell. I was not successfull probably because I was asking too much for it. I might put it up again but I get so much fun from it..........
Cheers
