Recomend some new tyres

I want to replace my OE tyres now for something sticky. Can you recommend some new rubber?

From looking on Black Circles, I can see PZeros, Bridgestone RE040 or Pilot Sports.

At a grand for a set I want to be sure I get my money's worth. What's the best available? Need to be road legal, not tooooo worried about wet performance. Probably stay with the original 235/50/R18 sizing.
