Hello,

I'm renting a Mustang in the summer for a road trip in the US. I have a couple of questions:

1. How big is the boot on a coupe? I pack light (just a rucksack for my last two month trip to the US) but Mrs Muppet has just brought home the worlds largest suitcase and now I'm worried. I did look round Mustangs when I was over there before, but didn't check the boot because I'm not a Top Gear presenter from 1978.

2. What's the best way to take our music to listen to in the car? Please dumb down the answers to this one as I haven't had a car with a stereo in it for decades. Don't make me talk to a girl for eight hours a day or she'll find out I'm really boring.

Thanks,

Muppet.

Boot should be fine. You've also got the back seat.

Burn all your music to MP3. It should have a 6-disc player, so enough for a weeks worth if you burn at 128k.

The boot is quite large though the lights slightly restrict the opening. Google images should help.

The Shaker has a 6 disc changer but V6 hire cars may have the single player. However, modern Mustangs have an MP3 socket in the centre console somewhere.

The boot isn't massive, I had a 2011 model last year & my mid-size suitcase & rucksack took up a fair amount of room. Certainly the massive suitcase my wife packs would have been a struggle & you don't want to put stuff of the back seat if you want to leave the car anywhere.

The boot is plenty big (and deep) enough to accommodate 2 large drag-along suitcases. Just may be a bit of a wrestling match getting them over the high sill. i do regular airport runs to pick up visiting relatives in mine and haven't been beaten yet.
The MP3 and USB docks are in the center console. Sync equipped cars will link-up to most smartphones. ipods, etc.

Cheers guys, much less concerned now.

Good to know about the Corvette too, just in case I accidentally upgrade.
