2010 Mustang GT MPG?
Discussion
Afternoon all,
Quick question for you.
What mpg can I realistically expect from a 2010 Mustang GT (315 bhp 4.6 V8) with a manual ‘box assuming a mixture of town and rural driving?
I’m considering my options for a ‘special’ daily driver to replace my current mondeo diesel. Other cars on the short list include a 370Z and maybe a Z4 sdrive 30i.
Thanks

Mine has a supercharger and I average about 24 but have got 35 on a motorway cruise and can get 30 driving gently. Worst I've seen is 19 on a Pistonheads run (save a track day where I got 9).
Bear in mind that the readout on the dash is in smaller US gallons which is often what journos spew out as UK gallon consumption which it obvioulsy isn't.
You'll pay £210 a year VEL, servicing can be done yourself or at least cheaply and there are several specialists in the UK and insurance through someone like Graham Sykes or Classicline is quite cheap.
The 2010 is the "inbetween model" with the new styling and the old 4.6 so you shoukld be paying quite a bit less than for the new 5.0 based on market demand.
All things being equal, the Mustang should depreciate more slowly than your other choices and will obviously be more exclusive.
