After a few years of looking i've finally bought my first Mustang. I got it about 5 weeks ago and take it out once or twice a week for a ride around and it hasn't missed a beat yet. Drove it from Essex to Scarborough (about 230 miles-ish?)on a hot day and it was perfect.

Sat at a roundabout on tickover today after a short trip to Halfords for some polish and it died. I managed to start it again and carry on but it tried to stall at the next junction but i kept giving it a blip of throttle. Got it home and as soon as i let it tick over the revs just drop and it stalls.

Could it be to do with the hot weather? I think it's 26 degrees C or something.
Could it be that it lives in a cold farm shed overnight because it does take a lot of starting if it's been stood a few days and i didnt take it far today?

Thanks, Tom.

Sorry for the late reply, haven't beenable to get to a computer. I got the Mustang going. Had a look at the plugs and they were black and sooted up so i gave them a good wire brushing, set all the gaps properly (one was pretty much closed and some you could walk through!), set the tickover at about 1500 and took it for a blast out up and down the A roads for 20 minutes and it seemed to clear out and run better.

Thanks for the advice, Tom.
