This matt black thing. Do all makers now do it ? I see quite a few Audis (TT, Q7) RR sport/FF and M3's. Usually driven by large men with lots of tattoos and a phone stuck to their (shaven)head.
I mean, what's the point in cleaning and polishing it.

Anything you'd like to know about it - why it was done, how do you clean it, what colour is it underneath - feel free to ask me.

Looks like a 2010 GT to me - 4.6L not a 5.0

I like that one a lot. Matt black's been around for years, it's just going through a slightly more popular spell in recent ones. It's over-done, but I like it on the right cars.

Correct. It's one of the three infamous Grabber Blue cars.

Three of us brought one each into the country and they're all still for sale.

I'm surprised at that. It's such a stand-out colour, I think it's gorgeous.

You're not wrong, Shellz, it's my favourite colour on the 2010+ (possibly even more so than black!).

Having said that, it needs a fair bit of black to tone it down (wheels/stripes etc) although Roo's gone all out on this one!

I do wonder if some just don't appreciate that Grabber Blue is a classic Mustang colour. I think it works well on the Mustang, but I guess it's a love it or hate it colour and I don't think it'd work well on any other car....well, for me at least.

Its a 2010 GT. Ford introduced the new shape body for the 2010 model year but didn't change the engine till the 2011 MY.

Note the GT badge on the side. 2011 MY are 5.0's this has a 4.6.
Oh and the last models were 2005-2009.

Keep up at the back.

Can't believe Matt black would honestly be more viable to sell than grabber blue, but evidently I'm wrong.

If I was in the market I'd take grabber blue no issues, it was certainly my favorite color for the new shape back in the states.

Agree with the OP about the image of drivers of cars with such finishes.

I personally really dislike the whole matt black thing, i just love shiny paint and wheels as a matter of fact, its just a personall thing but wheels to me should stand out and give the car so much, i just hate wheels being painted black so you cannot see them, not intending to offend just a personel thing, each to their own, thats what makes personalaty i suppose, just im right and your all wrong:-) lol sorry could not resist that litle bit.
