The brake fluid in my Mustang showed moisture in it when tested, which dot should I put in it? confused

Most are interchangeable. I have DOT 5.1 in mine which should not be confused with DOT5 which is synthetic and should not be used.

As above, you can mix brake fluid - but not DOT 5 with anything else as it's silicone based.

If you can, try and use the same - from a sealed container.

I think I'll go for DOT 4 or 5.1. Don't know what is in there at the moment. Cheers smile

Automec Dot 5 - I use it in my track slut cupra, and the old man uses it on his classics. Its gooood!

Aaaaaarrrrghhhhhh! I've been advised to steer clear of DOT 5 cos it's silicone based, I'm going DOTty now spin
