Astra 1.6 16v SXi

Daughter wants 2006 Astra 1.6 SXi 3dr. Anything I should be looking for? What is the normal service period? Any weaknesses?

20k for the 1.6. Weaknesses in the Mk5 Astra is mainly the CIM (the ECU for the body) which will fail. Not a case of if, but when. Not cheap to fix. Symptoms are immobiliser not disconnecting, horn or indicators not working reliably. Wiper linkages wear and rattle, eventually totally failing.
