That's what it looks like inside. It's loose and I have all the oil on my garage's floor now.
Where is/should be a bolt that attaches it to the engine block?

You need to put a hex drive up the hole in the centre (can't remember what size).

If it's come loose, this is usually caused by it having turned during filter removal.

It shouldn't turn, because there is location lug where it fits on the block but the housing often breakes there if the filter was tight to remove.

I would remove the housing to check if it's damaged if i were you.

Hey, thanks. I've tried that with different size drives but none of them turned anything. I'll give it another try tomorrow, maybe I was doing something wrong.

I've just checked on the bolt size, it's a 12mm hex, but it goes in at a strange angle, not at 90deg to the housing (if you look at your picture, you can see the angle of the hole in the bolt).

Probably that's why it didn't fit when I tried with a hex. Will give it another try tomorrow! Thanks so much!
