Vectra SXI 16V Hazard Warning Switch

Help need please, my son's Vectra SXI 16V 2002 has an Hazard Warning switch which sometimes works if you thump it hard enough to work but you gotta kick it to stop it. I suspect the contacts in the switch are knackered and I think it needs replacing. My question is.......how do you take the old switch out to replace it with another, is it a matter of prising it out or do I have to take half the dash away to get to it. Dont want to start prising it out and wreck something causing more damage.
Any help would be appreciated

Thanks Magictrousers I have now got it out, just waiting for a new switch to come and hopefully all will be okay.
