Hi all
I have been asked the question is it required (EGR valve) the car runs fine without it but it must have a purpose

reduces emissions apparently as i think some exhaust gas gets re burnt.

ECU will get confused. You have 2 choices - fit a blanking plate and swing valve housing around on one bolt making sure little valve under it can move out without obstruction, leaving elec connector on it, which worked fine on mine.

Or, remove valve housing altogether & find a supplier of an EGR cheater -basically an simple electronic device you plug into old connector to fool the ecu that the vale's still working. smile
