Part-Ex Value?
Discussion
Hey guys,
Just interested in how much my car would be worth as a part-exchange against a car worth about 4,500 (Clio 182 or similar), and also how much it may be worth as a straight private sale.
Car is a 2004 (04 reg) Corsa 1.7 CDTi SRi, 3 door in Star Silver, usual SRi extras like heated DTM-style mirrors, air con, 16inch alloys etc. sadly no optional extras like cruise control, leather etc. completely standard also.
It's done about 56,000 miles, but will be more like 57 or 58,000 when I come to consider moving on. Full service history, and will have just had a service involving oil change, new filters etc. 4 good tyres, lots of life left in the brake pads etc., good condition inside and out (no dents or major scratches/missing trim etc.) and has nothing major wrong with it. It apparently has a slight blow in the exhaust (an advisory on the last MOT), but nothing else at all!
The MOT runs out in August/September time, and if it was a private sale it would have 6 months tax at least put on there.
To re-cap: Looking for it may be worth as a part ex against a car such a Clio 182 or similar thats worth around the 4,500 mark, and also how much as a straight private sale. I've seen the Parkers prices etc. and don't think they're particularly accurate or reflect the changing market, so hoped someone on PH has a bit of knowledge they could possibly share
Also, how much depreciation is there with these cars? In 6 months or a years time will it have lost a grand or so off the amount it's worth today? More? Less? None? Any advice on that appreciated.
Cheers!
