A Cat Light has come on on my VX Meriva and has not gone out when started. Its staying on all the time. Can anyone point to any reasons????

were are you buying your fuel? high silicone content causes this

A cat light? Do you mean an engine management light? If so there are hundreds of reasons it could be on, it's best to link it to a code reader to find out the specific DTC. This will narrow things down and allow more accurate diagnostics.
