Petrol smell

I'm getting a whiff of petrol when I start the car, and also when I stop. Has anyone else had this?

I don't have this smell, but I've noticed it a couple of times - generally when I've had the tyres changed. I wonder if it's something to do with the car being tilted (as it is when they jack the thing up)?
