I'm having problems with 1st and 2nd gear selection on my 1.8 sri. It feels like a linkage problem.....Is this a common fault? Only done about 35K miles.

Yes, gear linkages have a massive failure rate on the Corsa C. I beleive there is an upgrade kit that replaces some of the plastic parts with metal

Sleeper? A Corsa with big wheels, M3 style mirrors and tinted windows isnt a sleeper !

i wouldnt exacly say the styling is outragous! 16inch wheels are tiny these days!

think it must be the that there quite rare compared to the 1.2, 1.4 etc.

most people i spoke to didnt even know vaux put a 1.8 in them!

dont think people expected that turn of speed from a standard corsa (before the vxr came out)

125hp Z18XE wasn't exactly quick, even in a Corsa. Corsas are only sleepers when they've a redtop or C20LET fitted.

was quick enough for me when i was 18, used 125hp pretty well, 0-60 same time as a fiesta st with 25hp more.

ive moved on to bigger and better things now, but ill still always have a soft spot for it!

Got to say I really liked my old C. Its still on the road somewhere, although I have no idea how they managed to remove the tree shaped dent all along the roof
