Right, here's the story!
My work smoker is a corsa combi van, & a few weeks ago the stereo started cutting out every few seconds, as if it was loosing all power as even the on off button wouldn't work, totally annoying!
So I got a cheap blaupunkt radio cassete off eBay but found the connector blocks were different on the back (it was a 2003 blaupunkt) but even after getting an adaptor block it still wouldn't work.
Took it to the local stealer who told me no sir you have to buy an approved vauxhall replacement stereo for around £150.
Now, I don't mean to be tight but it's just an old van & I'd like a working radio in it, can anyone help?
I don't want to go to the bother of buying another stereo only for it not to work, the dealer reckoned all stereos are locked into their cars ecu so they won't work in any other car. What a ball ache!
Cheers in advance,
craig

Just buy a cheap no-name stereo from Halfords, adaptor cable and adaptor plate. Rip out the factory fit junk and fit your new stereo which will no doubt have Bluetooth, iPod, USB connections and the like.
