Omega MV6 - buying tips

Considering buying one as a second car for commuting. Preferably a manual but will consider an auto.

So any common faults? Things to check/look for?

hi there. is few problems with omega
- cam covers leak
- ABS TC ecu problem
some 2.6 and 3.2 got stem seal problems

Cambelt tensioner.
Leaky rear shocks.
Tracking.
Weepy diff.
Blowing manifolds[esp O/S].

Great cars.Still got my 1999 new shape 3.0 manual. Leather interior.
Wish I hadn't sold my 03 3.2 Elite estate last year,but I couldn't resist a 6.0 Monaro! Can't keep them all!

Too late. Bought a Merc 300ce couple of weeks ago instead
